Did you know that a chimpanzee went up into space before a human? Or that chimpanzees laugh? Did you know that wild chimpanzees are found only in Africa? And do you know what it takes to survive in the wild? Students in Chimp Haven’s Classrooms that CARE program do! As participants, students have the chance to explore the natural world through the eyes of a chimpanzee. They delve into African rainforests, feel the tug and pull of our planet’s resources, play a part in the food chain, and explore the wide world of science. Each classroom presentation also reinforces the Louisiana Department of Education’s Grade Level Expectations.
Each classroom that participates in Classrooms that CARE receives: * For an individual classroom of up to 30 students. Transportation to Chimp Haven must be provided by school.
