Pierre

Pierre (aka Papa Bear aka Big Papa) is a large, lovable chimp. In fact, two of his caregivers who worked at the facility where he lived before Chimp Haven love him so much that they moved to Louisiana so they could continue to care for him at his retirement home. While he’s a big, serious-looking guy, Pierre greets his caregivers with happy facial expressions and excitement. In his free time you’ll find him in his “apartment” – an area underneath a structure where he’s often found relaxing after a long day of being alpha for his group.
