Pierre is a large, lovable chimp. In fact, two of his caregivers who worked at the facility where he lived before Chimp Haven love him so much that they moved to Louisiana so they could continue to care for him at his retirement home in Louisiana. Pierre greets his loving caregivers with happy facial expressions and excitement. When he’s alone, he likes to spend time in what staff call his “apartment” – an area underneath a structure that he’s often found relaxing.
