With Valentine’s Day coming up, we’re celebrating ALL the love here at the sanctuary. One of the most wonderful things about life at Chimp Haven is watching new friendships, families, bromances, and, yes, even romances, develop between the retirees.
It’s “Galentine’s Day,” so of course we have a sweet female friendship for today’s love story!
At first glance, Toya and Ashley Lynn are nothing alike, but these two are very best friends who you’ll rarely catch apart. They sleep together, play together, and hang out together all the time. When it’s time for Toya’s positive reinforcement training, Ashley Lynn is right there by her side observing her BFF.
Caregiver Hannah has coined their very cute sleeping arrangement as, “the cuddle puddle.” It’s a cuddle so intense that it’s hard to tell where Toya ends and Ashley Lynn begins.
