Love Stories: Sindee and Pearl (The BFFs)

With Valentine’s Day coming up, we’re celebrating ALL the love here at the sanctuary. One of the most wonderful things about life at Chimp Haven is watching new friendships, families, bromances, and, yes, even romances, develop between the retirees. We’re excited to share a few of those love stories here with you this week!

Thirty-four-year-old Pearl has been living the Chimp Life at Chimp Haven since 2010, but it wasn’t until 20-year-old Sindee arrived at the sanctuary last year that she seemed to find the friend who put the BEST in BFF.

After spending some time getting acclimated to her new life at sanctuary, Sindee was introduced into Pearl’s family group a few months ago, and these two hit it off like pant-hoots and bananas.

“They are IN LOVE with each other,” shares Caregiver Bre. “They are always playing. If they’re not eating or sleeping they are playing, grooming, tickling, or just sitting with each other. They are the BEST of friends ever since they got introduced.”

If this isn’t a Galentine’s Day story for the ages, we don’t know what is. We’re so happy you found each other, ladies!
