Zoe

Few chimps have made a bigger splash at Chimp Haven than Zoe has. She arrived at the sanctuary solo, but she quickly racked up a list of adoring admirers which only grows by the day. A member of Tabu’s social group, Zoe is friends with all the girls and she’s always eager to meet new pals and explore. She may be a large chimp, but this girl is an acrobatics queen: She loves to show off her signature twirls as she swings deftly across the brachiation bars in her play yard.

Zoe is the recipient of numerous Chimpie Awards, including, “Retiree of the Year” and “Mostly Likely to Talk Smack Behind their Caregiver’s Back.” Case in point, one of Zoe’s caregivers says, “If I tripped and fell, she’d definitely have a great time telling everyone about it.”

Although Zoe is a friend to all, her bestie is Ester, one of Chimp Haven’s longest retirees who previously lost her best friend. Zoe smoothly navigates group dynamics and gets along with everyone. At her 21^st birthday, she worked the room, indulging in all her favorite snacks and showing off her climbing skills.
